Leash Manners Program

Does your dog pull you down the street? Or bark or lunge at every car and bike that passes by? This program will teach your dog to mind their manners, making the structured walk an enjoyable experience for you both.

Puppy Manners Program

Have you recently welcomed a puppy into your family? This program will get your new addition off to a great start by teaching basic commands and problem-solving unwanted behaviors like jumping, nipping, barking and chewing. We’ll also help you navigate crate training and housebreaking.

  • Two, 2-hour sessions
  • Covers Heel, Sit, Down and Climb commands
  • $600
  • Herm Sprenger prong collar and pull tab to be purchased separately
  • Puppies must be no older than six months of age
  • Sessions must be completed within 30 days of program start date

Basic Obedience Program

Do you want your dog to have the best manners on the block? Our five-session, on-leash program will cover all the basics.

  • One, 2-hour initial session
  • Four, 1-hour follow-up sessions
  • Covers Heel, Sit, Down, Climb and Out commands
  • $900

  • Sessions must be completed within 60 days of program start date

Advanced Obedience Program

Do you dream of trusting your dog to listen to commands, even when he’s not on a leash? Our six-session, remote collar program will turn your pup into a reliable companion for your next off-leash adventure.

Remote Collar Program

Is your dog already a rock star with on-leash manners but you’d like to step it up a notch? Our three-session follow-up package for Puppy Manners and Basic Obedience graduates will jump start your pup’s off-leash obedience.

  • One, 2-hour initial session
  • Two, 1-hour follow-up sessions
  • Covers Heel, Sit, Down, Climb, Out and Come commands using remote collar
  • $600
  • E-Collar Technologies Easy Educator remote collar to be purchase separately
  • Dogs must have graduated from either the Puppy Manners or Basic Obedience programs
  • Sessions must be completed within 60 days of program start date

All initial sessions and all Puppy Manners sessions will take place in your home. Some follow-up sessions may take place in a public space like a park, Stony Point Fashion Park, Lowe’s or Bass Pro Shops. Home visits further than 25 miles from Old Dominion Dog Training’s location in western Chesterfield County will incur a travel fee of $0.67 cents per mile. Mileage charges will be detailed in training invoices. Old Dominion Dog Training can accept cash, check, Venmo or CashApp payments.
